Basketball Recap: West Bend East Comes Up Short

West Bend East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Port Washington Pirates, falling 90-22. While losing is never fun, the Suns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Pirates are ranked 124th).

Savana Tillman was West Bend East's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Tillman also led the team in rebounds with four.

West Bend East's loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Port Washington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Port Washington beat West Bend East by a score of 83-18 on Tuesday.
