Volleyball Recap: Pace Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pace can now relate to. They came up short against the Oviedo Lions on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Patriots' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Pace took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-19.

Marley Manning paced Pace's offense, picking up eight kills. Manning got some help from Kiera Beckham and her 11 assists.

Pace's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Oviedo, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Pace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oviedo, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Buchholz on the 25th.
