Cody faced Powell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Broncs' defense stepped up to hand the Panthers a 3-0 shutout. Considering Cody have won 11 matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Carter Thompson and Gavin Rockey scored all three of Cody's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Cody's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five games. As for Powell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

Coming up, Cody will take on Rawlins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rawlins will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cody surely won't give up without a fight. Powell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
