Baseball Recap: Arvin Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Arvin had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Golden Valley on Tuesday. The Bears put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 16-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Roy Rosales made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rosales was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

In other batting news, Jaime Pantoja was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Gomez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs.

Arvin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Arvin pushed their record up to 13-7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Golden Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14-1.

Arvin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
