Sedgwick County had won four straight home games and Joshua Palic did his part to make it five on Saturday. The Sedgwick County Cougars claimed a resounding 74-37 victory over the Briggsdale Falcons thanks in part to Palic, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. Palic is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Carlson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Sedgwick County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points over those games. As for Briggsdale, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cougars face off against the Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Briggsdale, they will take on Elbert at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Elbert will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Briggsdale surely won't give up without a fight.
