There's no place like home for Kenston Forest, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They blew past the Southampton Academy Raiders 12-3 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Kavaliers needed considering they were shut out in their previous   match.
 Aubrey Mayton (2026) was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Kenston Forest got a  massive  performance out of  Hayden Hudson (2029), who  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Hudson (2029) a new career-high.  Kelsey Marshall was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Kenston Forest  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. They are  a perfect 8-0 when  they post two or more  strikeouts.
Kenston Forest's record is now 12-5. As for Southampton Academy, they moved to 6-5-1 with that  defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
 Looking ahead, Kenston Forest will challenge Amelia Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.33  runs per game on average), something the Kavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southampton Academy, they will square off against Isle of Wight Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
