Basketball Recap: Nanuet Finds Home Court Redemption Against Peekskill

There's no place like home for Nanuet, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 32-22 win over the Peekskill Red Devils on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Peekskill's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Amari Murphy, who posted 12 points, and Nai?Lah Smalls, who scored four points and six rebounds. That was a full 54.5% of Peekskill's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

The victory got Nanuet back to even at 1-1. As for Peekskill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Nanuet will take on Sleepy Hollow in a holiday battle at at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peekskill, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-41 defeat against Yonkers on the 12th.
