Soccer Recap: East Bridgewater Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

East Bridgewater's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Foxborough Warriors. The final result isn't all that surprising considering East Bridgewater's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Foxborough are ranked 177th).

East Bridgewater's victory bumped their record up to 4-1-2. As for Foxborough, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. East Bridgewater will head out to face off against Mashpee at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. East Bridgewater will be up against Mashpee's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.25 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Foxborough, they are taking a road trip to square off against Attleboro at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
