Preview: Southwest Dragons vs. Harlandale Indians

Two dominant guards in Josiah McDonald and Jonathan Regalado are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Southwest Dragons will head out on the road to take on the Harlandale Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Southwest's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 16 games.

Southwest stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on South San Antonio with a sharp 78-55 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Meanwhile, Harlandale pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Winn by a score of 62-59.

Southwest's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 28-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.8 points per game. As for Harlandale, their loss dropped their record down to 14-14.

Everything went Southwest's way against Harlandale when the teams last played back in January as Southwest made off with a 77-52 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Regalado, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Southwest still be able to contain Regalado? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
