Softball Recap: Littlefield Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Littlefield finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Shallowater Mustangs, falling 17-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

The defeat snapped Littlefield's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-6 record. As for Shallowater, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Littlefield is set to square off against their familiar foe Idalou at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Shallowater will take on rival Slaton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
