Adam Denkert Turns in Season-Best Effort
Kenesaw was led to victory by Adam Denkert, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Denkert's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 113 rushing yards. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 74 yards.
On the year, Denkert has caught 7 touchdowns while averaging 63.1 receiving yards per game.

The win (which was Axtell's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-4. Bergstrom will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Mullen on Thursday.

Quin Oberg continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 173 rushing yards. He rushed for 197 yards, and also picked up 75 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 58 yards.
On the year, Oberg has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 45.4 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had eight rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 16.

Franklin Comes Up Short Despite Huge Game from Underclassman Calvin Carraher
Underclassman Calvin Carraher came into Friday's contest looking to prove himself and that's exactly what he did. Nobody could stop he on Friday as he threw for 343 yards and four touchdowns.
For the season, Carraher has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 120.2 passing yards per game.

Jacob Halvorsen Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Jacob Halvorsen posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 173 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (108.4) per game. He is becoming a predictor of Axtell's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
This season, Halvorsen has averaged 62.9 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 21.75 passing yards per game.
