Football Game Preview: West Babylon Eagles vs. Newfield Wolverines

The West Babylon Eagles will challenge the Newfield Wolverines at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither West Babylon nor Newfield posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. West Babylon lost to Copiague on the road by a 31-13 margin.

Meanwhile, Newfield took a blow against Half Hollow Hills East on Saturday, falling 57-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the RedHawks: they've now lost six in a row.

Newfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for West Babylon, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

West Babylon was able to grind out a solid win over Newfield when the teams last played back in November of 2024, winning 21-12. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolverines turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
