Basketball Recap: Plainwell Comes Up Short

The Plainwell Trojans were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 52-51 to the Harper Creek Beavers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Trojans came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Beavers are ranked 397th).

Plainwell's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Harper Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Plainwell will square off against Paw Paw at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Harper Creek, they will venture away from home to face off against Coldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
