Pomeroy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took an 18-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dayton Bulldogs. On the bright side, the 14- run performance marked the Pirates' highest-scoring game to date.

Pomeroy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Dayton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

While Pomeroy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
