Soccer Game Preview: American Heritage vs. Intermountain Christian

The American Heritage Patriots will square off against the Intermountain Christian Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. American Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.9 goals per game this season.

Last Thursday, American Heritage came up short against Maeser Prep Academy and fell 4-2. The loss was American Heritage's first of the season.

Everton Hughes and Cael Tillman scored both of American Heritage's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 32 goals.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Intermountain Christian's offense. They came up short against St. Joseph last Thursday, falling 5-0. Intermountain Christian haven't had much luck with St. Joseph recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, American Heritage fell to 7-1. As for Intermountain Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

American Heritage was able to grind out a solid victory over Intermountain Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2023, winning 3-1. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
