Volleyball Recap: Claymont Mustangs vs. Louisville Leopards

Claymont lost against Louisville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Leopards. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Claymont ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Louisville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Kroah, who had 14 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Kroah has posted since back in October of 2024.

Claymont now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Louisville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Claymont will head out to face off against Edison at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Louisville, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Perry at 6:45 p.m. on September 4.
