Preview: Benton Panthers vs. Star City Bulldogs
The Benton Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Star City Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Benton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Star City in Arkansas (Benton is ranked eighth, while Star City is ranked 112th).
After a string of five wins, Benton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 65-50 bruising from Bryant. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Benton has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Star City came up short against Junction City on Tuesday and fell 55-42. Star City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Benton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Star City, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
