            The Clever Blue Jays will head out to  face off against the Buffalo Bison  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Clever is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last four games.
On Monday, Clever beat Exeter 8-4.

 Ava Mittag made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Piper Steele and  Savannah Cheney did most of the damage at the plate:  Steele  scored a  run while going 3-for-4, while  Cheney  went 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI. That  triple was  Cheney's first of the season.  Katelynn Butts was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Clever was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .318 or higher in four consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile, Buffalo lost  9-1 to Fair Grove on Thursday. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Clever's win was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 9-3. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for Buffalo, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
