Baseball Recap: Chico Comes Up Short

Chico fell victim to Alvord and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-0. The Dragons just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Chico's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Alvord, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chico is set to square off against their familiar foe Nocona at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Alvord will challenge rival Muenster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
