Softball Recap: Deer Valley Skyhawks vs. Ironwood Eagles
Deer Valley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 21-2 to the Ironwood Eagles on Thursday. The Skyhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.
Deer Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rayne Ordway, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.
Coincidentally, Deer Valley and Ironwood will both be playing Coconino the next time they take the field. The Skyhawks will head out to face the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
