Basketball Recap: Weeki Wachee Victorious + How To Watch

Weeki Wachee's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 35-22 win over the South Sumter Raiders. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Raiders back in November, they had to take a 50-39 loss.

Despite the defeat, South Sumter saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jenesis Lane posted seven points. Lane has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jayla Payne White, who earned six points and five rebounds.

The victory got Weeki Wachee back to even at 4-4. As for South Sumter, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
