Basketball Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

Greenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monroe County Tigers. Greenville was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Monroe County earlier this season, when they won 62-45.

Greenville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Monroe County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-9.

Greenville has already played their next match, a 67-60 loss against Georgiana on the 21st. As for Monroe County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Clarke County at 8:00 p.m. on December 30th.
