Volleyball Recap: Rushville Lions vs. Rising Sun Shiners
Rushville lost against Rising Sun back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rushville Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rising Sun Shiners. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Shiners recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
While Rushville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22.
Rising Sun can attribute much of their success to Josie Brawner, who had 12 digs.
Rushville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Rising Sun, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Charlestown the next time they take the court. Rushville will host Charlestown at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Rising Sun will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
