Softball Recap: San Dieguito Academy Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

San Dieguito Academy dropped their record down to 11-3-1 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 5-1 to the Torrey Pines Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 9-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

San Dieguito Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willow Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for Torrey Pines, they now have a winning record of 9-8. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on three straight.

On Torrey Pines' side, Claire McEvoy was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Those two hits gave McEvoy a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sara Mihalinec, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

San Dieguito Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Coastal Academy on the 23rd. As for Torrey Pines, they have also already played their next game, a 7-5 win against Granite Hills on the 19th.
