Citrus Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 22-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles.
Despite the loss, Citrus Hill still got an impressive performance from Demerius Norman, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown. Carlos Moreno got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Donevin Thornton had a dynamite game for Desert Hot Springs, rushing for 101 yards and three touchdowns, while also picking up 35 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Thornton has posted since back in October of 2023.
Citrus Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Desert Hot Springs, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
