Volleyball Recap: Marshfield Takes a Loss

Marshfield and Webb City squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Marshfield had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Cardinals. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Bluejays haven't been shut out since back in September.

Gracelyn Bull paced Marshfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bull got some help from Quinn Aldridge and her 16 assists. Aldridge also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tilly Greenfield, each putting up two.

Avery Gardener went supernova For Webb City., getting 26 digs and three assists. That's the most assists Gardener has posted over her last nine matchups.

Marshfield's defeat dropped their record down to 28-10-2. As for Webb City, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 25-10.

Marshfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Webb City, they will square off against St. Pius X at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
