St. Clair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-7 to the Maple River Eagles. On the bright side, the seven- run performance marked the Cyclones' highest-scoring contest to date.

St. Clair's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Maple River, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat St. Clair by a score of 13-0 later that day.
