Recap: Claremont Wolfpack vs. Don Lugo Conquistadores
The Claremont Wolfpack were the 35-0 winner over the Don Lugo Conquistadores when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Claremont fell 17-10 to Don Lugo on Thursday.
Don Lugo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Boe Canty led the charge by gaining 109 total yards and a touchdown. Don Lugo also got help from Gavin Hrynezuk who showed off his sure hands for 119 receiving yards.
Claremont's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Chino and 7-3 Kaiser (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62% over those games). As for Don Lugo, their victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6.
Claremont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Don Lugo will head out on the road to face off against Santa Paula at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Santa Paula is ranked 558th, while Don Lugo is ranked 572nd).
