Basketball Recap: Union Parish Comes Up Short

Union Parish lost against Lincoln Prep back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Union Parish Farmers took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Prep Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Farmers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Panthers are ranked 73rd).

Union Parish dropped their record down to 15-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lincoln Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Union Parish does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln Prep, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
