Basketball Recap: Glenoak Takes Down Berea-Midpark in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, GlenOak rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They walked away with a 91-78 victory over the Berea-Midpark Titans. The Golden Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the defeat, Berea-Midpark saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nick Reece almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine assists. Reece has been hot for a while, having posted 16 or more points the last 20 times he's played. Tyson Clay was another key player, going 6-for-12 en route to 16 points along with six assists and three steals.

GlenOak now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Berea-Midpark, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.

GlenOak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 78-61 loss against St. Ignatius on the 1st. Berea-Midpark does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
