Christ Covenant kept up with Community Christian until halftime on Tuesday, but afterwards: not so much. The Cyclones put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 5-2 win. The result was nothing new for Community Christian, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Christ Covenant with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ethan Barnes (3), Ashton Bradshaw, and Hector Guzman.

Community Christian pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matchups. As for Christ Covenant, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8-1.

Looking ahead, Community Christian will challenge Faith Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christ Covenant, they will square off against Coastal Brigade at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Christ Covenant's defense better be ready for this one: Coastal Brigade has averaged an impressive 4.2 goals per game this season.
