Manchester Academy came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the St. Joseph Fighting Irish get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 18-0 victory last Tuesday.

St. Joseph's batters probably weren't too happy with Brody Roberts, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 13 Ks (he gave up a single walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joseph Beidleman, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. Jake Louis Paul was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Manchester Academy pushed their record up to 25-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for St. Joseph, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Manchester Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mavericks will need to watch out since the Generals have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight games. St. Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
