Baseball Game Preview: Finneytown Wildcats vs. Deer Park Wildcats

Finneytown will take on Deer Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Finneytown easily dispatched Deer Park on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Wildcats fell just short of Northwest by a score of 4-2 on Saturday. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Finneytown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kendall Richard, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Deer Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to Finneytown.

Finneytown dropped their record down to 2-1 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Deer Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
