Baker County and West Nassau are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Baker County barely beat Middleburg the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Broncos on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 28, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Rylee Walker looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Baleigh Shields was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Keyla Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Baker County lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, West Nassau never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on Ponte Vedra with a sharp 9-0 win. That looming 9-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

West Nassau is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Baker County, their win bumped their record up to 14-4-1.

Baker County came out on top in a nail-biter against West Nassau in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
