Softball Recap: Stagg Takes a Loss

Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Lincoln-Way East Griffins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Griffins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Lincoln-Way East, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

Coming up, Stagg will take on Lincoln-Way Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Lincoln-Way East, they will challenge Sandburg at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
