Baseball Recap: Keyser Takes a Loss

Keyser blew East Hardy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday East Hardy got their revenge. The Golden Tornado fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Golden Tornado have suffered since April 24, 2024.

Hunter Harr made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. He also put up a run, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Landon Tysinger, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Keyser's defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-17-1. As for East Hardy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Keyser will face off against Berkeley Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Hardy, they will square off against Petersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
