Volleyball Recap: ITW David Speer Academy Comes Up Short

ITW David Speer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Golder Panthers. The Pride were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, ITW David Speer Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-23, 19-25, 25-20.

ITW David Speer Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Golder, their victory ended an eight-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. ITW David Speer Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Noble Street College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Golder will take on rival Bulls College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
