Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Central Flashes vs. Greenfield-Central Cougars

The Franklin Central Flashes will venture away from home to face off against the Greenfield-Central Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Franklin Central lost to Hamilton Southeastern on the road by a 72-56 margin. The Flashes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Greenfield-Central entered their tilt with Greenwood on Saturday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They were the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over the Woodmen. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Woodmen are ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Greenfield-Central's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2. As for Franklin Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
