Softball Game Preview: Sipsey Valley Bears vs. John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers

The Sipsey Valley Bears will head out on the road to square off against the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Sipsey Valley came up short against Holy Spirit Catholic and fell 10-5. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ella Kate Lyons made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. AP Virden was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, John Carroll Catholic can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They put the hurt on Briarwood Christian with a sharp 15-7 win.

John Carroll Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Sipsey Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-20.

Sipsey Valley couldn't quite get it done against John Carroll Catholic when the teams last played back in March as they fell 10-5. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
