Soccer Recap: Albertus Magnus Comes Up Short

If Albertus Magnus was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Somers on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Rye Garnets on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Albertus Magnus of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Their goal came courtesy of Bella Di Muccio, who's now up to seven this season.

Albertus Magnus' loss dropped their record down to 9-1. As for Rye, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0-3.

Looking ahead, Albertus Magnus will face off against Hastings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rye, they will take on Harrison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few goals on average (Rye 0.3, Harrison 0.5) so any goals scored will be well earned.
