4A SPSL - South league recap: 3/27/13

Scott Sunitsch was the hottest hitter in 4A SPSL - South this week, racking up a .600 average, one home run and seven RBIs. Meanwhile, Beamer put together a 2-0 week.

First place in the standings of the league is up for grabs this week, as Emerald Ridge sits tied atop the standings with Puyallup.

Puyallup put just two batters on base with walks in the past week, but Bethel's pitching staff has had the best control this season, surrendering a walk only seven times in 13 innings this year.

There were 11 hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. They were led by Kyle Losch, who hit .667 this week (2-for-3).

Five RBIs over the past week allowed Puyallup's Quinn Rawson to boost his season output so far to 12, tops in the league.

Taylor Davis led the Titans to a win on March 20, as he notched nine strikeouts to beat Federal Way, 14-0. He gave up three hits and zero runs over seven innings of work.

Ben Arata drove in four runners on Friday in Beamer's 12-1 victory over Spanaway Lake. He went 2-for-4 and scored one run.
