Soccer Recap: South Garner Comes Up Short

South Garner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Corinth Holders Pirates, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, South Garner can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Corinth Holders are ranked 175th).

South Garner's goal came courtesy of Tamia Ford, who's now up to five this season.

South Garner's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16-1. As for Corinth Holders, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-3 record this season.

South Garner wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Southeast Raleigh on the 30th. As for Corinth Holders, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Willow Spring on the 30th.
