Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Castleberry walked away with it. They came out on top against the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles by a score of 11-8 on Thursday. The Lions' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Castleberry let Cayden Perez and Samuel Williams run wild. Perez went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Williams went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most runs Perez has posted since back in February.

With the win, Castleberry broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 18-8-1. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-12-1.

Castleberry will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
