Basketball Recap: Thunder Ridge Takes a Loss

Thunder Ridge suffered their biggest loss since December 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 72-50 to the Shelley Russets. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Russets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2020.

When it comes to explaining why Thunder Ridge lost, don't look at Rylin Jackson. Despite the final result, she posted 13 points. That's the most points Jackson has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Avah Lugo, who put up 11 points and five rebounds.

Thunder Ridge's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Shelley, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.

Thunder Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shelley has already played their next contest (against Madison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
