Basketball Recap: Caleb Peavy's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Scurry-Rosser over Henderson

If Scurry-Rosser was feeling good fresh off their 61-40 takedown of Wills Point on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats lost 66-46 to the Henderson Lions on Thursday.

Scurry-Rosser lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Caleb Peavy, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games he's played. McCrae Manos was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight boards.

Scurry-Rosser now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Henderson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scurry-Rosser will square off against West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Henderson, they will take on Arp at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
