Baseball Game Preview: Kingsburg Vikings vs. Washington Union Panthers

Kingsburg has gone 9-1 against Washington Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will welcome the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Kingsburg 3.6, Washington Union 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Kingsburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Paso Robles 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Jensen Hirschkorn made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The team relied heavily on Cole Roth, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Washington Union pushed their record up to 25-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Kingsburg, their win bumped their record up to 20-10.
