Volleyball Recap: Grimsley Takes a Loss

Grimsley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Decatur Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Friday.

Grimsley's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Decatur, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

Grimsley and Decatur should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Whirlies will face off against Ragsdale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (29 vs. 288). Meanwhile, Decatur (ranked 20th) will meet Grapevine (ranked 179th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
