Baseball Game Preview: Oconto Blue Devils vs. Niagara Badgers

The Oconto Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Niagara Badgers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Oconto's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Niagara's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Oconto couldn't beat Kewaunee on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. Neither the Blue Devils nor the Storm could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 5-5 tie.

Meanwhile, Niagara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Florence.

Niagara saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Neuens, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Remington Buchanan was another, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Niagara's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. Oconto's draw gives them a new season record of 9-4-1.
