Hawthorne Valley triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Noah Vom Stein

Recap: Hawthorne Valley Wildcats vs. Germantown Clippers

Even though the Hawthorne Valley Wildcats have not done well against the Germantown Clippers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Hawthorne Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Germantown and snuck past 50-47. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Hawthorne Valley has scored all year.

Noah Vom Stein was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Oliver Towe, who scored 12 points.

Hawthorne Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Germantown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Hawthorne Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Loudonville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. As for Germantown, they will be playing at home against Chatham at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chatham is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
