Granite Hills and Adelanto are an even 3-3-4 against one another since January of 2022, but likely not for long. The Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Granite Hills is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Silverado just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Hawks who were credited with the victory. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Granite Hills came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Silverado are ranked 694th).

Granite Hills will have to contend with a Adelanto squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since December 12. Adelanto and Barstow finished up on equal footing with a 3-3 draw on Tuesday. That draw made it three straight for Adelanto.

Adelanto's draw gives them a new season record of 3-10-6. As for Granite Hills, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-4-3.

Granite Hills was able to grind out a solid victory over Adelanto in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
